![]() ![]() One of Origin's most obscure releases, CyberMage: Darklight Awakening is a fun cyberpunk first-person shooter designed by D.W. You’ll probably get a Site advisor warning pop up when you click on the applicable links which include the WBF and the oolite games below. The reason seems to be because there was a link somewhere on the site that pointed to a known risky site. At the moment, McAfee is flagging Gamerhell as red. Some of the links will take you to Gamershell, which I’ve been using for at least four or five years and never ever had any problems with downloads, or perusing their site. ![]() He’d placed daylight bulbs in the window alcove. anyway, I remember arriving after sunset and it was almost night time after making myself comfortable I remember thinking how sunny it still was outside, then realized that it was evening and that the light couldn’t possibly be sunlight, especially as he’d bought a basement flat which only had a very small arched window that looked out onto the wall of the next factory. They were really trendy back in the 80’s. I once went to visit a friend who’d bought one of those flats you can buy in a converted factory. (depressing) I really should buy one of those lamps that has a daylight bulb fitted. Its going dark just after 7pm now and at the end of this month the daylight saving kicks in and the clocks go forwards meaning it,s going to be going dark around or just before 6pm. The nights are definitely drawing in here in the northern hemisphere. It appeals to my long buried boyish tendencies to pull things apart, lol.Īnyway, here are more games to keep you occupied. (lol) The game uses a new game engine that allows for realistic destructible environments. After Red Faction Guerilla unlocked last week I’ve not played any of the other games I’ve bought, which number several from GOG, Direct2Drive and Steam, so I thought I’d spend the rest of tonight checking all those games out (well I may have one more go at destroying this massive bridge I found on mars while playing Red Faction Guerilla. I’ll probably add them over the next few days, but at the moment I’m in the mood for checking out the games I’ve bought over the last few weeks. I’ve not posted any of the images I’ve got yet as they need reducing in size and then uploading. I got a little carried away after discovering a new source of games, 9though it has many of the games we’ve already posted. You’ll find a nice hotch potch of modern and old games, some may require DOS Box, but all should give the discerning gamer a few hours of enjoyment 9or more0 each. In the tradition of open-world games, there's no overall story: you can be a millionaire trader, a veteran combateer, a feared pirate, a lonely miner, a notorious smuggler, or all of them, or something else entirely, based on your own actions. As an apology for posting my Wednesday games so late I’ve added a few extra games to keep you occupied. Oolite is inspired by the 8-bit classic Elite, and many aspects of gameplay will be familiar to players of that game. And in the darkness between the stars, an old enemy lurks, fearless, perhaps waiting for order to collapse entirely. ![]() The mercenaries they hire for a few credits a kill are too few, too unreliable to do so either. The Cooperative's police force, concentrated near a few influential planets, can no longer maintain order. The trade ships that once safely travelled between planets now have to be well armed and escorted to fend off pirate attacks, from small-time criminals desperate for their next meal, to powerful robber barons extracting tithes from everyone who passes through their space. The two thousand star systems of the Cooperative once enjoyed a golden age of peace and prosperity, and perhaps the wealthiest of them can still pretend to. Perhaps one day, everyone might know your name. You've got a ship, some weapons, and enough spare cash to get started - and one day, you might get the fame, wealth or glory you want. Among the seven trillion people who are - at least officially - Cooperative citizens, you are nobody. ![]()
